“Children are an heritage of the Lord…happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them…” (Psalms 127:3,5)
The Family: A Proclamation to the World, states that our greatest happiness comes when we are teaching the principles of “faith, prayers,..respect, love, compassion, work, and wholesome recreational activities.” We can influence our grandchildren and impart these principles as we share life skills, teach the Gospel through word and example, and as we have fun together. We create eternal families as we build traditions together.
Our goal as grandparents is to foster strong bonds of family loyalty and love, and to teach the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Example of some traditions we are building, and traditions from some of our “grandparent” friends, are found in our handouts.
