Friendship: You Are the Lord’s Hands

Christy Matthews, Melissa Kartchner, Jodie Jamison

Not all of us can be a sister, a cousin or an aunt, but all of us can be a friend. Sister Marjorie Hinckley said “Oh, how we need each other. Those of us who are old need you who are young. And hopefully, you who are young need some of us who are old. It is a sociological fact that women need women. We need deep and satisfying and loyal friendships with each other.” As the Savior concluded his mortal ministry he said to his disciples “This is my commandment, that you love one another, as I have loved are my friends if ye do whatsoever I command you.” John 15:12–14 “Christ knows how to minister to others perfectly. When the Savior stretches out His hands, those He touches are uplifted and become greater, stronger and better people as a result. If we are His hands, should we not do the same?” Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf
