A Mother's Memo: Preparing Children for a Mission

Bonnie Johnson and Debra Howell

To prepare for a mission can be lots of fun, white shirts and ties to the mall we will run. But to plan for that time it comes all too soon, we should start with our young when there's time opportune. Teach them good manners, manage money and time, when hard work has paid them a nickel or dime. Iron a sleeve, cuff and collar, doing it yourself will save you a dollar. If a button pops off, oh what should we do, why teach them a sewing tip or two. Vitamins, aspirin whatever it takes, train your children how to cure their aches. But the most important lesson that we will ever teach, is preparing for the temple, a goal that should be reached.
