We, as individuals, families, and communities, have the opportunity for many blessings as we obey the commandment to keep the Sabbath day holy. We have the promise of both temporal and spiritual blessings as we are told in the scriptures and by the prophets and General Authorities. As we are reminded of these promised blessings we are inspired and motivated to be obedient to this commandment. Let us start today by recommitting ourselves to properly observe the Sabbath day. “And they shall also be crowned with blessings from above” (Doctrine and Covenants 59:4).
