Provisions for Pupils

Although there is no such thing as geographical safety, we have been taught that if we are prepared we do not need to fear. As natural and man–made disasters continue to be the norm, many businesses are acquiring provisions for their employees as a precautionary measure. It seems prudent to do the same for our local schools. Most elementary schools do not have any food on hand other than what is planned for lunch that day. If there were an emergency that required the children to stay after school or possibly overnight, the school may not have any food to offer the children. Volunteers can organize and assemble emergency provisions in two plastic buckets per classroom that include food and water for 30 students and offer an emergency potty.
